Degree Overview

This wide-ranging BSc in sports science covers topics as diverse as biomechanics, research methods and sports psychology. You’ll develop a broad understanding of sports science that you can use to explore a sport or health-related exercise of your choice. Throughout your studies, you’ll have access to our well-equipped labs and technologically advanced sports science equipment.

As well as encouraging you to gain new skills and knowledge, we want you to put them into practice through work experience. Placements are available across the sport and exercise science industry, including at Charlton Athletic Football Club.

Recent graduates have secured roles in areas such as sports science support, sports development, and health education and promotion.

Your Pathways

The International Year Zero is the first year of the four year undergraduate course. IYZ is designed to help you gain extra skills in your subject area, as well as English Language, before you continue to year one of your chosen University undergraduate degree course.

Following successful completion of the IYZ, you will continue onto Year One of your degree directly with the University of your choice.
