Step 1 - Apply for your visa

In order to avoid delays in getting your visa, it is very important to apply for your student visa as soon as you have received your Confirmation of Acceptance for Study (CAS) letter. Any delays in receiving your visa, will impact your ability to register onto your course on time.

Our team can support you through this process. You can reach out to our admissions team by using this form.

We will request updates on your visa application status via CAS Shield, the online self-service system that you used when you submitted your CAS documents. Please ensure that you click the button that best represents your situation so we can promptly assist you. Once you’ve received your visa, please upload the vignette on CAS Shield.

Step 2 - Book your accommodation

Please find below links to our accommodation providers.  Please note that each provider offers different styles of accommodation at different weekly/monthly rates. When choosing a provider please also take contract length into consideration.  They also all have their own cancellation policies and payment schedules. Please ensure you read the terms and conditions of the contract before you sign or pay your deposit. Due to the tenancy agreement being with the provider and not with Ravensbourne, you will need to contact the provider directly to arrange viewings and book your room.

During your online enrolment, you will be asked for your residential address in the UK. You must not enter the university address; you must enter the address of where you will be staying whilst you are studying with us.

iQ Flinders House  

Ravensbourne have partnered with iQ Flinders House to provide stylish accommodation just 12 minutes’ walk from campus.  Please contact iQ Student accommodation via their website or email flindershouse@iqstudentaccommodation.com

The Valentine

The Valentine is located less than two minutes’ walk from the tube station in Gants Hill, getting you to Stratford in 12 minutes and Ravensbourne within 30 minutes. Choose from your own private studio, or a room in a shared apartment. Ravensbourne has a number of flats and studios at the rate of £184 p/w on a 39-week contract reserved for our students who are in receipt of maximum funding from Student Finance England.  To reserve your room, please email TheValentine@crm-students.com or call +44 (0) 20 4504 0575.

Farndale Court

Farndale Court is located in Charlton, which is a 20-40 minute bus ride away depending on traffic, and a popular choice with our students.  It offers cluster flat accommodation, comprising 6 bedrooms, each with ensuite and shared kitchen/living space. Prices for 2023/24 are from £800 per month on a 50-week contract. Please contact Farndale Court directly to arrange a viewing.

The Cube Greenwich

The Cube Greenwich offers Studio Flat accommodation, a 14-minute bus ride away from Ravensbourne. Prices for 2023/24 start at £330 p/w on a 50-week contract. Westcombe House

Made up of several stylish modern studios, all with fully fitted kitchens, Westcombe House has been designed with the student life in mind offering a range of communal spaces including an on-site gym, outside seating area, private study room and quiet study areas.

LHA Davies Court

Ideally located north of Canary Wharf with its vast selection of amenities. Davies Court offers single or twin rooms with an ensuite on flexible contracts. Prices start at £147 per week for a twin room and £205 per week for a single. There is a 5% discount for Ravensbourne students who book for long periods so make sure you reference “Ravensbourne” when you enquire. The rooms are booked on a weekly basis, and you will need a £300 initial deposit, making LHA one of the most flexible contract structures available. Homestay

Homestay is a unique housing option that provides a room with a local host within the comfort and safety of their home.  Hosts are vetted for their care and understanding of students as well as providing a clean and comfortable home. The service is provided in partnership with Hosts International

Open to home and international students, homestay offers flexible term housing from two weeks to one academic year. Hosts range from families with young and/or older children, individuals, and couples. A choice of single, double or twin rooms (for two travellers together) and a choice of meal plans bed & breakfast, half board (breakfast & evening meal) or self-catering (room only).

Homestay hosts are all based in or around London. London has a robust public transport network, and it is common for students to utilise this to travel around the city. Average travel time from homestays is between 30-60 minutes.

Step 3 - Book your flight

Immediately after you’ve received your visa, book your flight. When booking your flight, please make sure you arrive a few days before international welcome week, so you have enough time to check-in to your accommodation and you join your classes on time.

We will request updates on your flight details via CAS Shield, the online self-service system that you used when you submitted your CAS documents. Once you’ve booked your flight, please upload your flight ticket on CAS Shield so we can prepare for your arrival.

Ravensbourne’s central location means that campus is easily accessible by public transport from any London airport. If you are arriving into the UK by plane, the following airports are closest and offer the best connection to our campus. The links below will direct you to an online journey planner which show you the best route to take.

Step 4 - Online enrolment

Enrolment is a two-stage process the first part of which needs to completed online prior to your arrival. Please see our website for details of how to complete online enrolment.

If you have any questions ahead of joining us, our online drop-in sessions will take place on Tuesdays and Fridays, 1.00pm – 2.00pm UK Time, starting Friday 11 August through to Friday 30 September 2023. Step 5: Check your course welcome information and get ready for university in the UK

International WhatsApp group

An international WhatsApp group has been created for the September 2023 cohort. If you wish to join, you should have received a link inviting you to join to your email, if not please email international@rave.ac.uk with your application number to receive the joining link.

Step 6 - In Person Enrolment

On your first day of International Welcome Week at Ravensbourne, international students are required to visit the Enrolment Centre (located at Ravensbourne University London) to complete in-person enrolment.

Step 7 - Pay your tuition fees

Please pay your fees based on your offer letter. Please click here to make your payment.

You can easily pay your tuition fees online via TransferMate our current payment partner. TransferMate provides a secure global payment network that simplifies paying your fees from your home country and countries around the world. Payment options can include bank transfers and credit cards.

Late arrivals

We want you to have the best possible student experience and we will provide you informative induction and welcome events to help you settle into your studies and make friends. We strongly advise that you don’t miss any of these events and that you attend lectures from day one in order to have the best possible academic outcome. To enjoy the full student experience, you need to arrive at Ravensbourne University London no later than the course start date as stated in your offer letter and Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS).
