Key Information

The Pre-Masters is offered over one or two terms and is designed for students who do not qualify for direct entry to the masters programmes at the university, this could be because of the grades achieved in your bachelor degree; your current qualifications are not equivalent to a UK bachelor degree or because you have a different background.

After successfully completing the Pre-Masters you will continue onto you chosen postgraduate degree course at the University of Bradford.

During the IFY you will:

  • Study at the university campus
  • Have full access to the university amenities and student benefits

Our pathway courses will prepare you with subject-specific knowledge and academic English language skills. During your pathway course, you will take a combination of core and subject modules specific to your chosen degree. It’s a great way to get familiar with your subject area while learning core university study skills such as academic writing and referencing. There is still a lot of studying involved, but all our courses are designed to prepare you in the best possible way.

With experienced tutors and small class sizes, you will have the space to develop your confidence while strengthening your university-level study skills. Once you’ve completed, you will continue onto the next stage of your chosen degree course at university.
