As a Kent student, you will benefit from living and learning in the ancient city of Canterbury. You meet history face-to-face from day one while learning from world-leading academics who help to sharpen your skills of analysis, argument and communication.
You’re encouraged to explore history and tailor your studies to the times and themes you find most fascinating. Make your degree your own by taking a broad approach to your learning or specialise in a niche area to cultivate your expertise.

Kent is home to the British Cartoon Archive and holds a rare and complete set of British official histories of the two world wars.
The Cathedral Archives and Library hold a fantastic and varied collection of historic records, including manuscripts, photographs, maps and printed books dating from the late 8th century up to the modern day.
The IFY will prepare you for the first year of your undergraduate degree. It’s made up of several core and subject-specific modules that will give you a greater understanding of your chosen subject area.
