Our degree is flexible: you study film theory but you can also explore film practice – for example, through developing the skills of a film critic or getting involved in creative film production. In your second and final years, you have a huge range of modules to choose from.

Our production spaces include soundproofed studios, chroma-key green screen and black serge cycloramas, an extensive lighting grid and edit suites.
The IFY will prepare you for the first year of your undergraduate degree. It’s made up of several core and subject-specific modules that will give you a greater understanding of your chosen subject area. The skills you develop through this programme will help you in your chosen degree, in your future career, and in all aspects of life.

2024/25: All international students will receive 16% of University of Kent tuition fees per year, for students moving into a degree from all our pathway routes. These are available for students from all countries and are automatic on application. For more information please contact admissions or your in-country representative.
