You’ll become an innovative thinker with the skills to design, implement and evaluate computer systems, analyze problems and propose solutions, and tackle computer and internet security. You’ll learn what it’s like to expand the limits of possibility and create programs with the potential to change the world.
You may incur additional costs in the course of your education at the University over and above tuition fees in an academic year such as laptops, study materials and additional resources.
Combine your computer science major with one or two minors from any of Syracuse’s other schools and colleges.
Participate in co-op and internship opportunities to gain professional, paid work experience in your field and still graduate in four years.
Collaborate with faculty on research projects at on- and off-campus institutes and labs.
The International Year One is the perfect pathway if you want a undergraduate degree from a UK, EU or US University but do not meet the requirements for direct entry.
The IY1 course provides an intensive combination of first year University subject modules with English language skills.
Following successful completion of the IY1 you will continue onto your second year degree study directly with the University of your choice.

Progressing students into Syracuse University receive the following merit awards for each
subsequent year of enrollment based on the cumulative GPA earned upon the completion of the 30 credit hours:
• A GPA between 3.25 and 3.49 is $10,000 per year
• A GPA between 3.5 and 3.74 is $15,000 per year
• A GPA greater than 3.75 is $20,000 per year
