Modules on this course such as security and terrorism, and the criminology of war, help you to explore the current social, cultural and political debates surrounding crime. Through your studies you will also learn about crime scene investigation, forensic psychology and miscarriages of justice. During your study, you can also apply for a placement to put your learning into practice.
Graduates have gone to careers that include roles in the police, working for the prison and security services, and the Home Office.

This degree sets graduates up for a wide range of professions. Many students go into human services (including the police and prison, probation and security services, youth offending services, or drug and alcohol counselling) as well as the Home Office, UK Visas and Immigration, and HM Revenue & Customs.
The International Year Zero is the first year of the four year undergraduate course. IYZ is designed to help you gain extra skills in your subject area, as well as English Language, before you continue to year one of your chosen University undergraduate degree course.
Following successful completion of the IYZ, you will continue onto Year One of your degree directly with the University of your choice.
