You will gain an understanding of key skills in international tourism and hospitality management, which will enhance your prospects for a successful career within this growing and changing market sector in the 21st Century.

You will be introduced to the theory and practice of tourism and hospitality with a focus on sustainability, innovation, resilience and effective leadership. You will learn to analyse complex problems facing the industry and to make strategic and operational decisions using critical thinking.

This course will prepare you for an exciting international career in hospitality and tourism by developing your understanding of different cultures and consumer behaviours, the use of digital platforms to inform decision-making and real-world knowledge and experience of the industry through your placement and research project.

Your Pathways

The International Foundation Certificate (IFC) is the first year of the four year undergraduate course. IFC is designed to help you gain extra skills in your subject area, as well as English Language, before you continue to year one of your chosen University undergraduate degree course.

Following successful completion of the IFC,  you will continue onto Year One of your degree directly with the University of your choice.

The International Year 2 (IY2) is equivalent to the second year level study of a three-year undergraduate degree. It supports international students who wish to complete their undergraduate studies by joining the third year of your chosen degree.

This three-term programme provides an intensive combination of more advanced subject specific content with the opportunity to develop their language and academic study skills as elements of a focused 30-credit module, while studying your chosen degree related modules, earning them the remaining 90 of the 120 second-year credits.

Upon successful completion of the IY2, you will continue to the final year of your chosen degree.

The International Year Zero is the first year of the four year undergraduate course. IYZ is designed to help you gain extra skills in your subject area, as well as English Language, before you continue to year one of your chosen University undergraduate degree course.

Following successful completion of the IYZ, you will continue onto Year One of your degree directly with the University of your choice.
