Degree Overview

A highly relevant area of legal practice, knowledge of commercial law will prove useful in your career in law or in the corporate sector. It is also an area which raises a series of fundamental questions about our economy.

Throughout the course, interdisciplinarity and the international dimension of commercial law are emphasised. Instead of offering you a purely black-letter analysis, the course is designed to supply you with the necessary tools to critically understand the social relevance of the law of market relations as well as equipping you with more practical knowledge of this highly important area of the law.

Your studies will be centred around small seminars in which we:

– discuss and assess the key principles of commercial law and market regulation
– evaluate national and international socio-economic dimensions
– appraise different approaches to the regulation of businesses and market relations
– engage with emergent legal and policy discussions regarding market regulation in a critical and innovative way.
