This course has been designed especially for candidates without the usual qualifications in Mathematics and Physics to be able to pursue their interest in electronics and electronic systems to degree level. During the course, students will get a thorough grounding in all the latest techniques in analogue and digital electronics, together with training in professional skills, project management techniques and intensive preparation in maths and science for electronics. Students will gain extensive practical experience to ensure that the students develop sound practical skills as well as a thorough theoretical knowledge.
Students will have access to state-of-the-art laboratory facilities. As well as large, well-equipped teaching laboratories, we have several research laboratory areas.
Students will be taught by staff who are experienced electronic engineers and who maintain links with industry to ensure that courses reflect recent developments.
There is a high demand from international employers for graduates who have completed this course.
The International Year Zero is the first year of the four year undergraduate course. IYZ is designed to help you gain extra skills in your subject area, as well as English Language, before you continue to year one of your chosen University undergraduate degree course.
Following successful completion of the IYZ, you will continue onto Year One of your degree directly with the University of your choice.
