Our Education Studies BA (Hons) programme provides a comprehensive understanding of education, childhood, and lifelong learning. Students will explore key topics such as education policy, practice, and theory, while also focusing on social justice and inclusion.
Throughout the course, you’ll gain hands-on experience through placements and volunteering from the first year. These opportunities equip you with transferable skills for careers in education and related fields. The course also offers pathways for progression into teaching or postgraduate education studies such as our Education Practice MA.
You may incur additional costs during your education at the University over and above tuition fees in an academic year such as laptops, Stationary and additional resources.
This course helps develop skills that are invaluable for graduates who want to build a career working with young people and children. While this can open up opportunities for employment in primary schools, it can also include nurseries as well as other pre and after-school settings
Graduates can also build on their knowledge with postgraduate opportunities, including an Education Practice MA, which opens up opportunities to work in a number of wider educational environments, including youth and community work, local authority employment, social and educational research and early years settings.
A key element of our Education Studies programme is for students to gain placement and work-based learning experience. This helps provide you with first-hand knowledge and experience of educational settings and opportunities to apply the theory from your studies to real-world contexts.
The International Foundation Certificate (IFC) is the first year of the four year undergraduate course. IFC is designed to help you gain extra skills in your subject area, as well as English Language, before you continue to year one of your chosen University undergraduate degree course.
Following successful completion of the IFC, you will continue onto Year One of your degree directly with the University of your choice.

Oxford International offers a number of scholarship opportunities for students applying for an academic course under the Core Scholarship. The scholarships are targeted at different regions around the world, awards range from partial contribution towards tuition fees to awards covering part or full pathway course fees at the international college.
