This course is relevant to students if they are looking to develop their career in private banking, portfolio management or the professional management of securities and assets. It is also ideal if you want to move into the investment and brokering side of the financial sector.
This option allows you to specialise in investment management and gain practical skills required in the industry. You gain deeper knowledge and practical skills in analysing and evaluating securities, companies, industries and economies; designing investment strategies, constructing, managing and assessing the performance of investment portfolios.
As part of this course, students have the opportunity to undertake an eight-week internship matched to their chosen industry in China, Mexico, Vietnam, or Manchester (UK).

This course will give you the skills and understanding to work in a variety of businesses such as banks, insurance companies, financial service companies and trading brokers.
The Pre Masters Program will prepare you for the UK, EU or US study system, giving you the confidence and skills that you’ll need to go further in your studies. Depending on your academic qualification and English language level and chosen programme, you can study the IIM over one or two terms.
